Celebrating Success
Pittsworth Community Garden with the Pittsworth District Landcare Association wishes to express their appreciation to all of the organisations, businesses and individuals that have helped make the Community Garden project possible.
Since 2012

Site was made available by the Anglican Diocese of Brisbane with the support of St Andrews Anglican Church and Father Garth Shaw

Perimeter fencing constructed and ornamental gates erected

Shed, shade house and tank installed, with hen house plans underway

Composting and worm farming doing their thing

Communal and family plots constructed and blooming with harvest

Permaculture principles in practice including recycling, energy and water efficiency and no pesticides

In 2013 over 200 volunteer hours

Founded on fondness of food, fitness and friendships
Landcare Australia
Landcare Australia provided seed funding to the Community Gardens project through the Be Natural Grant program. The grant of $2,500 has supported the development phase of the garden.
Toowoomba Regional Council
The Toowoomba Regional Council's Community Grants program provided $1,000. Council has also provided materials and equipment.
Pittsworth Businesses
A number of local businesses and individuals have continued to offer their support for the Pittsworth Community Gardens project through donations, discounts and assistance.
